Joe, Adam and Eva
Joe is a gorgeous, lovely and adorable 3 year old with a quirky sense of humour. His carer says, “He makes us laugh all the time and he doesn’t even try!” Joe loves being active and enjoys playing on his ride on JCB, bouncing on his trampoline, and playing apps on his tablet. He can make his own fun too and takes great delight in playing with simple things like balloons. Joe enjoys artistic pursuits such as drawing and painting as long as things don’t get too messy. Joe is fond of visiting the park and soft play places. He can be a little wary at first, preferring to watch the other children before diving in. Joe enjoys watching TV. His favourite TV characters are Thomas the Tank Engine and Fireman Sam.
Adam is 2 years old and quite the little character, a real cheeky monkey with something of a dramatic side. He has a bubbly and strong personality, is very affectionate and loving with a wicked sense of humour! His has a mischievous glint in his eyes which is very endearing. Adam loves gadgets, anything he can get his hands on, such as tablets, TV remotes, phones, activity and music toys. He loves pressing buttons and making noises. He likes to have a go at drawing and has good control of his pencil. Adam is a real daredevil and has lots of confidence. When he visits new places he is off straight away! Adam is a busy little bee and loves singing and dancing.
Eva (9 months) is really thriving. She is showing a real awareness of her surroundings and is fascinated by everything that is going on around her. Eva loves interaction and attention and is at her happiest when she is being held, walked, talked, sung to and played with. She loves toys that you can touch and feel; she is especially drawn to brightly coloured or musical toys. One of her favourite things is her Jumperoo and she happily occupies herself jumping around for a short while, showing good strength and co-ordination as she plays with her toys. Her fine motor skills are developing and she is beginning to pick up smaller objects. Eva is becoming more vocal, chatting away in her own style and joining in with conversations. She can already say baba, mama and dada. Eva is a very easy baby to care for and only cries when she is tired, hungry or needs changing.
Joe, Adam and Eva are bright, loving and playful siblings. They have bonded well with their respective carers. The boys particularly have made fantastic progress. Joe has Global Development Delay, most significantly affecting his speech and language. He has made great progress and his therapist feels that he is fully capable of catching up. Joe has been displaying some autistic traits, such as showing repetitive behaviours and a dislike to changes in routine. Adam is a bright little boy, his only real delay is around his speech and he has been referred to the Speech and Language Service. There are no issues with Eva’s development.
